Original comic art by American cartoonist Art Spiegelman. Done with pencil, ink and zipatone. Written and drawn by Art Spiegelman in 1970, ten years before he started to publish Maus in Raw magazine. This 30-page comics underground story was printed in 1971 by Bantam Books, in a paperback format, also featuring art by other underground artists like Kim Deitch, Trina Robbins, Spain Rodriguez and Alan Shenker. The very expressive line and the burlesque of the situations make it a perfectly representative story of the underground comics of the 70s in the United States. Original drawings and original comic art by Art Spiegelman are extremely rare on the art market. Such an opportunity to acquire a vintage work by Art spiegelman artist will not present itself again.
